Fire rated Aluminium enclosures
Die cast aluminium junction boxes/equipment enclosures for LV Power cabling applications. Robust, multi-purpose and cost effective. These enclosures are supplied with protection to IP66 as standard and IP67 or IP68 as options. Available in over 30 different sizes, these aluminium boxes, while lightweight, offer high impact (IK08) and corrosion resistance. Finish options include: unpainted, painted grey (RAL 7001), a hard anodised sea water resistant coating, linished and RFI shielding for EMC compliance (2004/108/EC).
Cable entries can be drilled on-site or factory machined by us prior to delivery. The enclosures can also be supplied as empty enclosures, pre-assembled with terminals and internal/external earth stud or populated with terminals to your specification.
Features
Chemical resistant, corrosion and sea water proof, these aluminium enclosures are TOUGH, while being a lightweight alternative to steel. The impact resistance of these boxes is in a class of its own.

Technical Data
- Fully flame retardant and fire-rated to IEC60331-2: 2009 at 250ºC for 2 hours
- Constructed from Si 12 alloy die-cast aluminium (DIN EN 1706 AC-AlSi 12 Fe)
- Available as Ex certified (Sira 08 ATEX 3212 or IECEx SIR 13.0038X and fitted with an M6 earth stud).
- IP66 as standard (IP68 versions at additional cost up to 3m)
- Lids fitted with Allen stainless steel fasteners
- Finished in grey (RAL 7001) as standard. Also available in other colours, unpainted, anodised or linished.
- Ceramic high temperature terminal blocks (2, 3 and 4 pole: 4mm², 10mm² or 16mm²) or DIN rail mounted ceramic terminals (2.5/4mm² or 10/16mm²).
- Impact resistance >7 Joule (EN 50014)
